Insurance General Terms and Scope
In alignment with this commitment, Garibook has launched the “Insurance claim support” program, designed to provide medical expense reimbursement and financial support to passengers and drivers (including both rideshare and car rental) in the event of a road accident “during ongoing trips”.
Eligibility of Insurance Claim
Passengers and drivers engaged “in ongoing trips” using a rideshare or car rental registered with Garibook are eligible for benefits under this coverage.
“In ongoing trips” refers to the period between the start and end of a trip booked through the Garibook App.
Coverage Details
- Sedan, Sedan Premium, Sedan Economy: 1 driver and up to 3 passengers
- Noah: 1 driver and up to 6 passengers
- HiAce: 1 driver and up to 10 passengers
- All trips booked through the Garibook App are eligible
- Drivers must ensure that insurance claims are strictly related to trips completed through Garibook only
Details & Procedure
IPD Medical Expense Reimbursement
Applications must be submitted within 15 (fifteen) days of hospital discharge.
OPD Medical Reimbursement
Applications must be submitted within 10 (ten) days of receiving medical treatment.
Financial Support in Accidental Death
Applications must be submitted within 45 (forty-five) days of the individual’s death. The nominee must provide a Death Certificate and Nominee Certificate issued by a competent authority (City Corporation, Municipality, Duty Doctor, or Police Station).
Document Submission
Scanned copies of required documents are acceptable. However, Garibook reserves the right to request original documents if scanned copies are deemed unreadable or unreliable.
How We Settle the Claim
- Mail your required documents for insurance claim to: Insuranceclaim@garibook.com
- Upon verification and approval, Garibook will notify the applicant of the decision
- Insurance claim investigation is completed within 7 working days
- Settlement process completed within 10 working days of application approval, amount transferred to applicant’s bank or MFS account

Garibook operates as a platform under a freelancing model and is neither a transport provider nor the owner of vehicles used for car rental or ride sharing. Freelance drivers are not employees of Garibook. Garibook is only a facilitator connecting drivers and passengers.
Garibook shall not be held liable for any accidents occurring during trips. Passengers and drivers are advised to exercise caution and follow safety standards and traffic regulations. Any accident, injury, death, disability, or property loss during a trip is the responsibility of the individuals involved.
Benefits under the “Insurance claim support” program are a gesture of good will. Garibook retains the right to accept or reject any application at its sole discretion without justification.
